Motor Trend (Car News Blog at Motor Trend) is reporting Volkswagen (VW) is having a change of heart. It seems they feel the Jetta or Golf Hybrid won't sell as well if it has an expensive price tag associated with the hybrid engine. So, they are switching their plans and are now looking to make a hybrid Toureg SUV.
This follows the trend set by Ford who entered the hybrid field with a hybrid SUV. But it doesn't really fly in the face of the sales figures. The top selling hybrids are the Prius and the Camry.
