Peugeot is looking to offer a diesel hybrid version of the 308, but it won't be here for another two years. They believe the new 308 will have a fuel economy of 4 L/100 km. That's a very impressive 59 mpg (if I'm doing my conversion correctly).
Peugeot had introduced the hybrid diesel powertrain in a 307 model back in June 2006.
