Why buy a hybrid?

I don't read his blog, but I found this post on how he chose his brand new 2008 Toyota Camry Hybrid. I found it interesting, not only the amount of research he put in, but also his reasoning for ultimately choosing a hybrid, a Toyota, and everything else.

So I worry more about door dings and less about battery life or gas price - and trust me with oil hitting $90 a barrell…. you might want your huge SUV to go up in smoke and pick up one of these babies!!
