The Saturn Vue Hybrid will qualify for $650 federal tax credit

According to the IRS, the certification by GM on the 2007 Saturn Vue Green Line Vehicle (SUV) qualifies for the Alternative Motor Vehicle Credit. In other words, you can get some of the premium money back in a federal tax credit when you buy one. The credit amounts to $650 according to the IRS.

And unlike a Toyota hybrid, you don't have to worry about the tax credit being cut in half any time soon. Since Toyota has sold over 50,000 hybrid vehicles this quarter, the federal tax credit will soon start getting cut in half on any Toyota hybrids bought.

GM buyers won't have to worry about that for a long time to come.
