Wouldn't it be nice if Myth Busters (Myth Busters is a show on the Discovery Channel) took on the myths surrounding the EPA rating for mpg? It's a myth that you cannot achieve the EPA rating. With careful, slow driving, most cars are capable of achieving their mpg rating. There are even hybrids capable of hypermiling, i.e. getting better than the EPA mpg rating on a consistent basis.
Myth Busters is a great show that takes on different myths. They'd be well equipped to take on this myth that hybrid vehicles get the worst of the EPA rating. They could take a hybrid out and test drive it with the various methods for efficiency, from aggressive right down to the pulse and glide method.
Someone is making a lot of noise in an effort to make this happen over at discovery channel forum. Take a look and see if you can get this issue on the air.
