Jim Press, president of Toyota Motor North America addressed the National Press Club in Washington today and had a few interesting remarks.
"We're already developing vehicles that can operate in ethanol-rich Brazil and we're optimistic that we can offer similar vehicles to American consumers,"
Toyota is 'strongly considering' introducing a flex-fuel vehicle program in the US, he said.
Press is also predicting record sales for the US auto industry this year, totalling 17 million vehicles, despite rising gasoline, interest rates.

Of course, that optimism might be restricted to how Toyota feels about the marketplace. Given their increases in sales, as opposed to GM or Ford...
