Honda has agreed to a fleet contract with British Airways to supply over 100 Civic Hybrids. The vehicles will mainly be used by the British Airways sales force.
British Airways, as part of their submission process, asked about the carbon emissions throughout the car's life cycle, from production to disposal. British Airways is estimating the switch will cut their emissions from three down to two tonnes of CO2 a year by each driver.
"Environmental performance was the key consideration in British Airways' decision to invest in the new fleet," said Gary Meades, environmental manager, British Airways. "The hybrid technology not only meets the highest environmental targets for vehicle emissions but will also deliver greater fuel efficiency."
