The good news, however, if you're willing to wait, is you don't have to settle for what's on the lot. You can order exactly what you want, so the Mini of your dreams is practically being built to your specs.
Mini sales are up 33.6 percent through the first half of the year, but overall production is being upped by just 2 to 3,000 to satisfy the current demand. And that increase is coming from the Mini convertible ending production on July 31. The convertible is being switched to a new body and will resume production next spring.
Base prices for 2009 models are increasing, but dynamic stability control is being made standard.
