Looks like the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid is going to make quite a difference when it comes to fuel economy. The supercharged V-6 Cayenne Hybrid will get you 9 liters per 100 km, or 26 mpg, according to Kicking Tires(Porsche Delivers Preliminary Mileage for Cayenne Hybrid - KickingTires).
That's not bad for a car that can get you from 0-62 mph in 6.8 seconds. It looks even better when you consider the 2009 Cayenne gets between 13 and 16 mpg combined, depending on the engine/model.
But then, don't think this is going to come cheap, either. The base Cayenne starts at $45,000 according to Edmunds.com.
Those fuel economy numbers for the Hybrid Cayenne are not from the EPA, as they won't be testing the Cayenne Hybrid until next year.
Porsche wanted to cut fuel consumption for the Cayenne by one-third.
