The 2010 BMW ActiveHybrid X6 will arrive in December with a base MSRP of $89,725, including destination and handling charges.
With that price and a fuel efficiency rating of 17 mpg city and 19 mpg highway, the X6 will not be competing against the fuel sipping Prius. Instead, the X6 is designed to compete in the luxury division.
The two-mode hybrid mates a 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 with two electric motors will be BMW's first hybrid and will showcase their strategy for hybrid technology. Power and comfort, with a bump in fuel efficiency.
